Gurucharan Singh’s father has lodged a missing complaint with the officials stating that the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor has been missing since April 22, 2024
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh essayed the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi ever since the inception of the show. He grew to be a fan-favourite, as his portrayal of a fun-loving character who never shies away from expressing his love for his wife was adored by the audience. On Friday, his fans were left in deep shock after the news of him being missing surfaced on the internet. According to recent media reports, he was last seen at the Delhi Airport on April 22, 2024.
As reported by Bollywood Life, he was supposed to fly down from Delhi to Mumbai, however, he never reached his destination. He never returned home. The report further adds that even his phone has been unreachable since then. His father has filed a missing complaint with the police in the Palam area of New Delhi and stated that their son was completely stable when he left home. A part of the missing complaint read, “My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. The father of actor Gurucharan Singh, who featured on the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as 'Sodhi', has given a written complaint to the police that his son had left for Mumbai from his residence in Delhi on April 22 and since then he is missing. According to a report by News 18, the police officials have been investigating the case and are trying to trace his call records. While no First Information Report (FIR) has been filed, the police are searching for Gurucharan based on the missing complaint. The complaint was filed “4 days back in Palam, South Delhi.” The report quotes their insider stating, “He (Gurucharan Singh Sodhi) was last spotted near Delhi airport. For the unversed, Gurucharan Singh left Delhi and came to Mumbai in 2013 as he was in deep debt. He went on to work in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for 7 long years. However, he soon marked his exit to take up work in the OTT space. Further details on the investigation are awaited.
